You can do the research and think you've got the best parts for you, research ask around and talk to the installer to make sure they are knowledgable and proffessional enough to do the job, but still end up with $3 large worth of parts that aren't even good as a paperweight. Or try to do it yourself, invest even more in the tools and time, but without the long term background and expertise your more than likely to blow the thing up worse and faster. Search and post, never knowing if the answers are knowledge from experts, educated guesses, sarcastic trolls or opinions based on "I never tried anything else, but I like my (brand x) so you should get that too." Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
